Whilst family portrait photography is my everyday, my passion project – what started me in photography – is urban impacted landscape and travel photography.
My mantra is simple:
‘find beauty in the everyday; find beauty in the mundane; bear witness to beauty’.
I’m a follower of light. Whether it be a depiction of a well travelled scene or simply something we walk past everyday, I have found that if we pause to look up, look down, look all around – there is a world of wonder waiting to be seen, a quiet beauty to behold and not necessarily in the first, most obvious way we might see it.
As human beings, too often we have left a scarring mark on this Earth of ours, but conversely, many marks have been left with beauty, dignity, respect and harmony in mind. I look to celebrate those moments and communicate a sense of place whilst eliciting an emotional response for the viewer – whether that be a reminiscent smile, a reflective calm or a sense of wonder.
