It’s been a big weekend for the photographic industry with the AIPP (Australian Institute of Professional Photography) Awards – known as the APPA’s – held over the weekend in Melbourne. Over the period of three days, over 3,700 entries were evaluated by panels of Australia’s leading experts, with the judging live-streamed for those of us who weren’t able to be there.
This was my very first year of entering and I was (beyond) thrilled to have been awarded a Silver Award and a Certificate of Attainment (Bronze) for two of my four images, with the remaining two missing out on a Bronze by just one and two points respectively. This was waaaayyyy beyond my expectations, to have actually achieved Silver in my first year left me a little speechless (and for those who know me, that in itself is a serious achievement!)
There were many, many beautiful and inspiring images – watching the live-stream, it was a joy to just sit back and soak up the creativity, as well as getting a real insight to see and hear the judging process. I’m so proud to be considered a part of this amazing, dynamic industry.
Thank you to my gorgeous clients who have invited me into their lives and let me help them make their memories;
a huge thanks to those who have supported, encouraged and mentored me on this journey thus far;
and to my three fabulous, patient boys – I love you very, VERY much.
